Copperplate before Modern Calligraphy
According to an article at IAMPETH website which was written by Dr. Joseph Vitolo, copperplate is a term of a style that is applied to several shaded script that includes roundhand, Engraver's and Engrosser's script. Roundhand in this case is the English Roundhand which was written with quill. Some of the Masters transferred the style afterwards to copper plate to be printed. Modern copperplate is based on roundhand technique which adapted with steel pen.
Modern calligraphy is a personalized contemporary style with the basic knowledge of modern copperplate. It is what can we see through the internet by many other calligraphers around the world. This what will be taught by our calligrapher, Martha.
